AI
Create a Topic Hub with AI
What does this do?
AI writes a full draft Topic Hub for you: an introduction, key points, key terms, exam tips, a common misconception, a mind map, flashcards, a retrieval grid, exam-style questions with mark schemes and model answers, and a "Can you now…?" checklist. It opens in the editor as a draft — nothing reaches a class until you pin it.
When should I use it?
Use it when you want a revision page quickly and would rather edit than write from nothing. There are four ways in: from a topic, from source material you add, from curriculum outcomes you choose, or from lessons you have already taught, so the page revises what the class actually learned.

How do I use it?
- 1On the Topic Hubs page, choose Create with AI
- 2Pick how to build it: From a topic, From source material, From the curriculum or From a lesson
- 3Fill in the subject and year group, and the topic if you want to name it
- 4Add your notes, choose curriculum outcomes or pick your lessons, depending on the tab
- 5Choose Write the Topic Hub — it takes up to a minute
- 6Read the draft in the editor, change anything you want, then add your own videos, links and downloads
- 7Pin it to your classes when you are happy with it
Common mistakes
- Pinning without reading it — the AI is a first draft, so check the facts and the mark schemes
- Looking for videos or links in the draft — the AI never adds them, because it cannot know a real web address. Add your own
- Expecting it to appear on the class space straight away — an AI hub is never pinned until you pin it
