Evidence sheets: one answer sheet for the whole lesson
What does this do?
Print one double-sided answer sheet per pupil for a whole lesson. The questions stay on the board; the sheet carries each activity's slide number, a short cue and the space to answer. After the lesson you scan the class set in one go, Classfolio reads the answers, you check them beside the handwriting, and they go into each pupil's Folio as their evidence for the lesson.
When should I use it?
Use it when pupils have no devices, when you want written evidence from a lesson taught at the front, or to save paper: one sheet replaces a worksheet per activity. Most activities are read and marked from the scan, including multiple choice, short and long written answers, fill the gaps, match pairs, ordering, table fill and sorting. Drawings, Diamond 9s, crosswords, word searches and annotated extracts go in as a picture of the pupil's work, for you to mark. The activity guide says which is which for every activity.

How do I use it?
- 1Open the lesson and choose Print, then Scannable evidence sheet
- 2Choose the class: one sheet is printed for each pupil, with their name on it
- 3Untick any activity you do not want on paper, and change a cue if the start of the question is not enough. The Side 1 and Side 2 meter shows what fits
- 4Add blank spares if you need them (none by default), A3 copies for pupils who need larger text, or choose two pupils on each A4 sheet to save paper
- 5Choose Print sheets and teach the lesson as normal
- 6After the lesson, open the printed set: Classfolio prompts you when a lesson you launched ends, or choose Print, Scannable evidence sheet, then Printed sheets. Choose Choose scanned files: one PDF or photos of the whole class set, in any order, either way up
- 7Say whose any spare sheets are, then choose Read sheets
- 8Say which lesson this was: the one you launched, or that you taught it without launching Classfolio
- 9Check each answer beside the pupil's handwriting, correct anything misread, and choose Hand in. Only then does it reach their Folio
Common mistakes
- Photocopying one pupil's sheet for another: every sheet carries its pupil's code. Print spares instead, and say whose they are when you scan
- Expecting answers in the Folio straight after scanning: nothing reaches a pupil until you have checked it and handed it in
- Correcting in the same pen: when pupils mark their own work after the answers are shown, ask them to use a different colour. Only their first attempt, in their own pen, is read
- Leaving every activity ticked on a long lesson: if the meter says something does not fit, untick it or print it in the normal pack. Nothing is ever dropped from the sheet without telling you
