Lessons
Exam questions on paper in a lesson
What does this do?
In a teacher-led lesson, add an exam question from one of your assessments and print it for the class. Each pupil gets their own sheet with their name and a QR code. After the lesson, scan the sheets in and they are marked on the assessment, exactly like a paper test.
When should I use it?
Use it when a lesson ends with an exam-style question but pupils are not on devices — the answers still come back into Classfolio and the Folio.

How do I use it?
- 1In the lesson editor, find Exam questions on paper and choose Add an exam question
- 2Pick an assessment, or write a new one first
- 3Launch the lesson as Teacher-led — the launch screen offers to print the sheets for the class
- 4Choose Print for the class, hand the sheets out and teach
- 5Afterwards, choose Open the scanning page and scan the sheets in, then review and confirm the marks
Common mistakes
- Adding someone else's assessment — only the teacher who wrote it can print it
- Printing twice for the same pupils — use Print for pupils without a sheet for latecomers
