How to set it up

  1. 1In the lesson editor, choose Add slide and pick Interactive activity, then choose Crossword.
  2. 2Add each answer with its clue: the grid is built for you.
  3. 3Preview it as a pupil, then run the Readiness check before you launch: it flags anything still missing.

Tips from the classroom

  • Use definitions as clues, so the crossword tests understanding, not spelling alone.
  • Printed, the grid matches the board, clue numbers and all.
