History and geography sources, data in a picture, a diagram to interpret.

How to set it up

  1. 1Open the assessment in the editor and choose Add question.
  2. 2Pick Source question.
  3. 3Add the image and a caption, then the question and your mark scheme.
  4. 4Open Practice Preview to answer it as a pupil would, then run the readiness check before you set it.

Tips from the classroom

  • Give the image a description for pupils who use a screen reader.
  • Ask about what the source shows, not what pupils remember: that is what the question is for.
