The Classfolio assistant

What does this do?

An assistant on every teacher page. Ask it to build a lesson, an assessment, an assignment, a questionnaire or a resource, and it makes a private draft for you to open and check. It can also change work you already have, answer questions about how Classfolio works, and open any page for you. It asks before it changes or deletes anything that already exists.

When should I use it?

Use it when you want a first draft quickly, when you are not sure how to do something in Classfolio, or when you want to jump to a page without hunting through the menu.

How do I use it?

1. 1Press the assistant button at the bottom right of any teacher page
2. 2Type what you want, for example "a 45-minute Year 7 lesson on the water cycle" or "open the recycle bin"
3. 3When it has made something, open it with the link it gives you
4. 4If it wants to change your existing work, read what it plans and press Confirm, or say no
5. 5To hide the button, use the menu in the assistant panel. The keyboard shortcut still opens it

Common mistakes

• Confirming a change without reading what it will do
• Very vague requests. Say the topic, the year group and what you want made
