Planner
Set Up Your Planner
What does this do?
A step-by-step set-up for your planner: copy a colleague's set-up, your school day and Week A/B, your timetable (the AI can read it from a screenshot or PDF), term dates, your duties and your events. Each step saves as you go, and any step can be skipped.
When should I use it?
Use it when you first open the planner, at the start of a new school year, or whenever your timetable changes. Open it from Set up my planner on the planner page.
How do I use it?
- 1Open the planner and choose Set up my planner
- 2If a colleague has shared their set-up, paste their share link to copy their periods, times and Week A/B
- 3Check your teaching days, whether your timetable repeats weekly or fortnightly, and your periods
- 4Upload a screenshot or PDF of your timetable, check every row the AI found, link each class code to a Classfolio class, then save
- 5Upload your school's term-dates document, or skip this if your school has already added the dates for all staff
- 6Add your duties, then your events and deadlines
- 7Check the summary and open your planner
Common mistakes
- Saving the timetable without checking the shaded rows: those were hard to read, so check them before saving
- Copying a colleague's set-up after building your own: copying replaces your periods and weeks (your timetable, lessons and events are not touched)
- Leaving the planner half set up: open Set up my planner again and it picks up where you left off
