Join a Live Lesson

What does this do?

The real-time lesson player students use to join a live session by entering the lesson code. Handles all activity types — MCQ, short answer, drag-drop, fill-the-gaps, match pairs, word clouds, mind maps — and receives AI marking, leaderboard overlays, and teacher snapshots.

When should I use it?

Use this when your teacher gives you a lesson code or shows a QR code on screen and asks you to join the session.

How do I use it?

1. 1Enter the lesson code shown by your teacher (or scan the QR code)
2. 2You'll join the session — wait for the teacher to open each activity
3. 3Submit your answers as each question opens
4. 4Receive AI marking feedback where it applies
5. 5View the leaderboard or results when the teacher reveals them
6. 6Your responses are saved to your folio when the session ends

Common mistakes

• Entering the wrong lesson code — double-check with your teacher
• Joining after the session has already ended — the teacher will need to start a new one
• Losing your place if the browser refreshes — rejoin with the same code to continue
