Lessons
Self-Paced Lesson
What does this do?
A deployed lesson you work through at your own pace. You navigate each slide, submit activity responses, and receive inline marking. Progress is saved per slide so you can return later.
When should I use it?
Use this when your teacher has set a lesson as a self-paced activity — for example, a cover lesson, a catch-up task, or independent revision.

How do I use it?
- 1Open the lesson from your dashboard or lessons list
- 2Navigate slides using the previous/next arrows
- 3Submit your answers to each activity
- 4View your marking result and retry if your teacher allows it
- 5Complete the lesson — your responses are saved automatically
Common mistakes
- Closing the browser before submitting the final activity — progress is saved per slide, but make sure each is submitted
- Oracy activities show a 'live-only' notice in self-paced mode — these can only be done in a live session
