Your training spaces

What does this do?

The discussion space for each cohort you are training with. Your training lead posts messages, files and links here, and you can reply or ask the group a question. It is the staff equivalent of a Class Space.

When should I use it?

Use it to ask a question about the CPD you have been set, or to share something useful with the rest of the cohort. Check it when your training lead tells you something has been posted.

How do I use it?

1. 1Choose Class Spaces under Training in the menu
2. 2Pick the cohort you want — each one you belong to has its own space
3. 3Read the messages, and open any files that have been attached
4. 4Write a message or reply, then send it
5. 5Your message goes to your training lead for approval before the cohort sees it

Common mistakes

• Expecting your message to appear straight away — it waits for your training lead, the same as a pupil message does in a class
• Wondering where a cohort has gone: a space only appears once your training lead has opened it, and shows as 'not open yet' until then
• Looking for it under Class Spaces in the main menu — that is for your own classes, not your training
