Each class gets a private space. You post messages, files, images and links, and you can set work by posting an assignment with its deadline. Pupils reply and can post to the class. Every pupil message is read by a teacher before anyone else sees it — and that cannot be switched off.
Moderation
There is no toggle to turn approval off, because a class noticeboard that can be left unmoderated is a risk nobody should have to remember to manage. Pupil messages and replies wait in a queue, you are notified when they arrive, and you approve, return for rewording, or reject.
What it is for
Setting work
Post an assignment straight into the space and it appears as a card with its title, its deadline and a button through to the work. Pupils see whether they have handed it in; you see how many of the class have. It is a link, not a copy — the assignment stays the one place work is set, submitted and marked, so there is no second version to keep track of.
Trainees
A trainee teacher can be added to a single Class Space as a contributor, whose messages you approve first, or as a moderator, who can publish and approve pupil messages. They see only the spaces you add them to, and removing them takes effect immediately.
Moderated by default, with no private messaging and a full record of every decision.
